We confirmed to President Radev that for us, the fight against corruption is not an end in itself. This was stated by Kiril Petkov from the PP-DB after the talks with the head of state during the delivery of the second exploratory mandate for forming a government, which they returned unfulfilled.
When asked if a miracle could happen with the third mandate, Petkov replied that he does not believe in miracles and again emphasized that until serious measures are taken in the fight against corruption, Bulgaria will continue to spin in a vicious circle.
The relationship between people's income, sense of fairness – all this is concentrated in this struggle. This will also be our direction from now on. We are putting these principles, laws and decisions and will seek support for them in the 51st National Assembly, Petkov specified.
For his part, Bozhidar Bojanov pointed out that for the moment the question of whether PP-DB is ready to negotiate with DPS if Peevski is not in the ranks of the party is not on the agenda.
According to him, there is room for dialogue and meetings in the parliament, but he is skeptical that a third-term government can be formed.
