The military aid that is proposed to be sent to Ukraine is made up of ammunition and property, which after analysis have been determined as surplus or unnecessary for the Bulgarian army.
This was commented to the media by the Acting Minister of Defense Atanas Zapryanov, BTA reported. Earlier, he announced that the next aid package for Ukraine could be submitted to the Council of Ministers today. Zapryanov added that it is about rifle and artillery ammunition. He categorically indicated that the aid would not include financial means and added that the package would be linked to an agreement with an allied country for compensations that would be in cash and used for the modernization projects of the army.
When asked when the new aid will be sent to Ukraine, the minister explained that the government is yet to make a decision, then coordinate with the allies and Ukraine, ensuring the logistics.
