He explained that this project would have given our country a chance to gasify our southwestern neighbor SR Macedonia, help deliver Azerbaijani gas to the Republic of Kosovo, and strengthen our country's central role in regional economic relations. “We would have closed a process that would have given another economic and political weight to our country”, said Krastev.
„The same Azerbaijani gas continues to Romania, from there to Moldova and reaches Ukraine. There was an opportunity for Bulgaria to become economically and energetically a central field of influence in the region. It so happened that while we were wondering, it became possible to restore the gas project between Greece and North Macedonia again, explained Krastev.
