A water supply failure left a large part of Haskovo without water.
The press service of “Water and Sewerage“ (ViK) EOOD in the regional city announced that until the damage that occurred on the water pipe on “Macedonia“ in the vicinity of “Osvobozhdenie” Blvd., subscribers from the central city areas will be without water.
Teams from the water company are already working on site.
Accidents on water pipes in the regional city are more and more frequent due to the strong depreciation of the network. A little over a week ago, on the same street, two days in a row, a main water main burst. Then, because of the accidents, the southern part of the city remained without water.
VK - Haskovo has developed projects submitted for financing under the "Environment" Program for BGN 120 million. They are for the construction of water pipelines and purification plants for drinking water in several cities in the district, including to deal with the crisis along the outdated water network in the regional center of Haskovo.
