The intrigue in Gorica Grancharova's office revolves around the figure of the acting minister of the interior works. It remains to be seen what composition will be proposed to be appointed by the president, as the head of state is not obliged to approve every single proposal made by the candidate for acting prime minister. This is what the professor of Constitutional Law at SU "St. Kliment Ohridski" Prof. Plamen Kirov.
According to him, there will most likely be changes in the office of Gorica Grancharova-Kozhareva. It is very likely that a large part of Dimitar Glavchev's team will remain in the future new office.
He also pointed out that the president was faced with the wall in the previous case, when he had to appoint a caretaker government with Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev. Now the head of state tried to negotiate with the other potential candidates for acting prime minister a change in the composition of the Council of Ministers, he commented.
„ Gorica Grancharova is subordinate to Dimitar Glavchev in the Audit Office, so she is not expected to carry out any policy. Now we have to see how a woman will cope, but she will not cope worse than men,“, Prof. Kirov estimated.
In his words, the president will not be able to make changes in the official cabinet, as it is no longer his responsibility. In addition, the constitutionalist clarified that a vote of no confidence against the official cabinet cannot be voted. The official cabinet becomes an independent constitutional player and escapes the control of the president and the National Assembly, emphasized Prof. Kirov.
