The end of Delyan Peevski is here! This is what political scientist Slavi Vassilev told BNR and commented:
"He sees that the mouthful he prepared for himself turned out to be bigger than his mouth - both in terms of his chairmanship of the DPS and in terms of his ambitions. It all crumbles under his feet. The end of Mr. Peevski is here, be sure of it. The processes that will begin to flow - both in terms of the DPS and in terms of internal political processes - portend his gradual, and maybe even sudden, disappearance from Bulgarian politics.
According to the political scientist, Peevski is "losing the launch vehicle that carried him":
"I find it extremely curious who will vote for Peevski, if not the bought vote. He is neither a popular figure, he has no rating and is not able to evoke sympathy among the general Bulgarian public, rather he evokes the opposite.
Obviously, the prosecutor's office in Bulgaria works under the command of Delyan Peevski, pointed out Slavi Vasilev and commented:
"He is trying to eliminate his enemies because he is in a battle with Ahmed Dogan for DPS. It is good that these people are grabbed by the throat, so that their dirty shirts can be exposed to the light of day and the public will be convinced once again that these people have no place in politics. ... It is a restorative process".
In the words of Slavi Vasilev, GERB leader Boyko Borisov is "the last mastodon in politics, who holds the levers of state management, and there is no one to replace him":
"Peevski will be displaced, Dogan will take care of this job. But Borisov has no one to replace him, except President Rumen Radev. Until Radev decides to get actively involved in Bulgarian politics, Borisov will continue to govern indirectly or directly, and this portends political instability. Until Radev gets involved, political instability will continue to be a driving force in Bulgarian politics. The only political figure who can dislodge GERB from first place is Radev, there is no one else at the given stage.
The political scientist guarantees that Rumen Radev will not participate in the upcoming elections in October with his political project.
Vassilev predicts that after the early elections there will be no stable government:
"Some coalition may appear, but it will not be stable, but it will either be dominated by Borisov, or it will be some other majority, but it will not be stable.
According to him, the political conjuncture before the cabinet of Gorica Grancharova-Kozhareva is better than the one before the previous one - Dimitar Glavchev.
"The president managed to fake the constitutional changes, i.e. to find a way out of this situation by appointing as interim prime minister a person who is clearly not liked very much, judging by the reactions of Mr. Peevski's last days.
