Electricity killed a 17-year-old boy from Rudozem on the spot, announced the district prosecutor of Smolyan Nedko Simov, transmits BTA.
He pointed out that the leading version of the investigators is that the boy climbed a high-voltage electric pole.
The unfortunate incident happened on the night of Tuesday on the outskirts of Rudozem. Around midnight, a report was received of a dead boy under an electric pole. During the inspection, forensic experts found traces of burns on the body. A pre-trial proceeding was established under Art. 115 of the Criminal Code. The autopsy determined that the cause of death was electrocution that had passed through the victim's body.
District prosecutor Nedko Simov also indicated that after the relevant examinations are carried out, it will be assessed whether there are persons guilty and sympathetic to the boy's death.
