We agreed 100%. There has never been such a rapprochement between the local structures and the central leadership. There is almost no region of these 31 in which from the headquarters that we have not complied.
This is what Borislav Gutsanov, the chairman of the PG of the BSP for Bulgaria, said before the BNR about the arrangement of the lists of the BSP – United left for the parliamentary elections.
"I don't know why it came out in the public space that it was desired by Sergey Stanishev. We saw what the vision of the Stara Zagora party organization is," he said about the leadership of the party in Stara Zagora.
Regarding the presence of Evgeni Minchev in the lists of the civil quota, Gutsanov explained that this happened at the insistence of the Sofia city organization because of his clear messages on the subject of gender.
"Natalia Kiselova is a citizen quota. The National Assembly desperately needs an experienced constitutionalist," he added.
In his words, the goal was to include specialists from all fields in the profile of the future parliamentary group.
When asked if there are Peevski's people on the lists, Gutsanov called on those "who pretend to be great fighters against Mr. Peevski to explain how they ruled with him and changed the Constitution with him". According to him, "it is a little too much now that they are trying to sew up the BSP".
The stepping back of the established left leaders for Gutsanov is the "big leap and the big magic" that happened in the left unification for these early elections. Unification is the only path and key to change in Bulgaria, he stressed.
"I have always been a supporter of this union. Unfortunately, we have not been able to get to what is happening now. There must be a tipping point for this unification to take place."
