The portion money , received by servicemen and civilian employees in the Ministry of Defense, the structures directly subordinated to the Minister of Defense and the Bulgarian Army, are increased from BGN 200 to BGN 300. This was announced by the press center of the Ministry of Defense (MoD).
The decision was taken at a meeting of the Defense Council, held on October 21, 2024, and comes into force by order of the Minister of Defense Atanas Zapryanov on November 1 of this year. The funds for the increase in portion money are provided by the budget of the Ministry of Defense.
In this way, the amount of portion money in the defense system is equal to its amount in the MIA system.
This is another measure that will increase the incomes of people in the defense, and it is aimed at increasing the motivation to enter, perform and retain work for military and civilian employees, the Ministry of Defense specified.
