Wages in Bulgaria continues to grow with double-digit numbers as percentages. The private sector in this quarter on an annual basis grew ahead of the budget sector. Last year, public growth was slightly faster than private, but in 2021 and 2022, private grew significantly more, offsetting inflation faster than public. This commented in the studio of "The day begins" on BNT the president of KNSB Plamen Dimitrov.
The growth in the private sector is over 14%, while in the public sector it is below 12 percent, said Dimitrov and specified:
"Business drives things, not someone else, ie. there are no administrative measures and it will continue to lead the market because it is highly deficient and this is the reason why it is constantly argued that raising incomes has no alternative."
In his words, about 35-36% of people receive a wage that is equal to the living wage that the unions calculate.
According to him, the difference in salaries in different areas is due to mobility, which is greater in Sofia and larger cities. Plamen Dimitrov confirmed that in 4-5 regions of the country there is a cartel between employers who suppress people's incomes.
