For the 3-year period by 2026, we have approved 2,900 projects, about 2,000 agreements have been concluded, and there are already more than 1,000 projects under implementation.
In places, the projects are implementation, especially where water infrastructure is concerned. The bigger problem continues to be late payment. There have been completed projects since June for which no payments have been made.
This is what Silvia Georgieva, executive director of the National Association of Municipalities, told BNT.
According to her, there are delays, some municipalities are still waiting more than 3 months for advance or interim payments.
Silvia Georgieva specified that the implementation of the projects under the national program is going at a good pace, with a significant change in the pace of concluding agreements and the pace of payments.
"265 out of 265 municipalities have projects," added Silvia Georgieva.
