17 days without a trace of 13-year-old Nikolay from Konare. The child with Down Syndrome disappeared from the yard of his home on December 17. Although hopes for a positive outcome are decreasing, the teams are not stopping the search.
Police, gendarmerie, military and volunteers continue to patrol a large perimeter in search of the child. However, for nearly three weeks there has been no information about his whereabouts, and the only trace of him was his dog, which returned home days after disappearing with him.
The cold weather in recent days is making the process and the chances of the boy being found difficult.
"I have the feeling that my child has been kidnapped. How much does it cost to lie to a child, how much does it cost?
I go to babysitters and psychics. I've given you a lot of money, and it's still not there.
One tells me he's dead, another says he's alive and I don't know what to think. They even called me on the phone to tell me that my child is dead," shared Nikolay's mother.
"For the hundredth time, we will repeat places that have already been visited. There is hope that he can be released and eventually found. The mystery is complete, there is simply no trace and it is really very mysterious," commented the mayor of Konare Stancho Stefanov to Bulgaria ON AIR.
