The bone of contention was clear even before the start of the negotiations. The conditions of PP-DB were clear - Borisov should not be prime minister. Nothing terrible has happened - the Earth is spinning, the Sun has risen today. This was stated by political analyst Georgi Harizanov on BNT, quoted by novini.bg.
„This is the new normal. With every spin of the election roulette wheel, we see a transformation of what is happening in the National Assembly. Citizens have chosen not to have a stable majority. It is normal that there is none”, believes former PP-DB MP Iskren Mitev.
Political scientist Slavi Vassilev said that the parties that entered into negotiations do not surprise him. “When you have observed for long enough, without being part of the teams, you see that all kinds of configurations are possible. In my opinion, there was a real desire for negotiations on the part of GERB.”
”Nobody has given anyone a majority. The last time there was a majority in parliament was in 1997. Despite this, full mandates were served”, added Harizanov.
”The big loser is the people, not GERB or the other parties. There has been a National Assembly for two months now, but not a single law has been passed,” Mitev reminded.
Vasilev added: “The question is what will this government do, will it be good for Bulgaria, are there any prospects for it?”
