On Wednesday, Rumen Radev hands over the first mandate - 1

On January 15, Wednesday, at 12:00 in accordance with Art. 99, para. 1 of the Constitution of the Republic of Bulgaria, the Head of State Rumen Radev will hand over a mandate to form a government to the candidate for Prime Minister, nominated by the largest parliamentary group in the 51st National Assembly - that of GERB - UDF.

This was announced by the press secretariat of the presidency.

According to the latest information, negotiations to form a government continue, with an agreement on the name of the Prime Minister - Rosen Zhelyazkov from GERB - UDF. There is also an agreement on the management agreement. However, the talks are complicated by the inclusion in them of representatives of the PG "Democracy, Rights and Freedoms - DPS", from whom support in the plenary hall is expected. Although on the final right, the understanding to support a cabinet with the first mandate of GERB - UDF is still in question. Decisive hours of negotiations are underway, and the tension has arisen due to new claims by the formation "Democracy, Rights and Freedoms – MRF" - the formation close to Ahmed Dogan, from which support is expected in the plenary hall.

Despite the initial agreement not to have their own representatives in the executive branch, today they have requested deputy ministerial positions and real influence on the decisions of the future cabinet, which was not well received by the three formations that agreed and in practice calls into question the successful conclusion of the negotiations.

So far, only the BSP has publicly announced the names of the Deputy Prime Minister and the four ministers in the future cabinet that they support.
