The "Democracy, Rights and Freedoms" - MRF coalition will support a government of GERB-SDF, "BSP-United Left" and "There is such a people" when it is voted on in the National Assembly as part of the formation of a parliamentary majority. An agreement on this was reached at the final meeting tonight in parliament between the negotiating teams of GERB-SDF, "BSP-United Left" and "There is such a people" with the leadership of the "Democracy, Rights and Freedoms" - MRF coalition. This was announced by the press center of the political formation.
The "Democracy, Rights and Freedoms" - MRF coalition - DPS will also declare its support by signing an Appendix as part of the Agreement for a parliamentary majority for the implementation of a management program between the political formations GERB-SDF, "BSP-United Left" and “There is such a people”.
Thus, two and a half months after the elections, the winner of them, GERB-SDF, managed to secure a majority of 126 deputies for the government. A positive outcome was reached after negotiations that lasted nearly a month. After a disagreement with “Democratic Bulgaria” over the personality of the Prime Minister, three formations remained at the negotiating table - GERB, “BSP-United Left” and “There is such a people”. Therefore, the need arose to find additional votes in order to have a majority for the government. Earlier in the day, GERB announced that the three formations have reached an agreement on all points, but are waiting for a decision from Ahmed Dogan's formation - will they support them or not.
The decision is now clear - there will be support for a cabinet with the first mandate. This was agreed at a final meeting with the three negotiating forces on Tuesday evening. At the moment, the three main formations that came together in a coalition are not commenting on the news.
If there are no surprises in the next few hours - at exactly 12 noon on Wednesday, Rosen Zhelyazkov will receive a mandate from President Rumen Radev to form a government, in his capacity as nominated for prime minister. According to information from NOVA, he will immediately return a folder with the composition of the cabinet.
