Christian Vigenin: I have the knowledge and ability to help the BSP be a strong party that works for the people - 1

“My path in big politics began in Yambol, our greatest successes are connected with Yambol and the region, there have also been failures. Here there has always been an understanding that the personal takes precedence over the common. In life and politics, I have learned a lot from you. Thank you for all these years in which we have worked together and will continue to work.“

Christian Vigenin: I have the knowledge and ability to help the BSP be a strong party that works for the people

With these words, the Deputy Chairman of the BSP and Head of the Delegation of the Bulgarian Socialists in the EP, Kristian Vigenin, addressed his party colleagues and supporters in Yambol, from where he was elected as a member of the National Assembly for several terms. With this emotional meeting, he started the series of conversations that he will hold within the campaign for the election of the Chairman of the BSP. Vigenin admitted to the socialists in Yambol that he did not make the decision to run for chairman lightly, because he knows what challenges every leader faces in these years: “It takes a lot of courage, a lot of courage, a lot of confidence in one's own strength to make such a commitment. After these years in politics and government, I have the knowledge and ability to help the BSP be strong, the BSP be the party that can effectively defend our left-wing principles, that can defend policies in the interest of the people and give a new perspective for Bulgaria. The path we are on is not from today to tomorrow, it is a long one“, emphasized Vigenin.

The Deputy Chairman of the BSP is a supporter of direct elections - every member of the party should have the opportunity to decide who should lead the BSP. Therefore, along with his ideas for the development of the BSP, he will also defend the right of every socialist to be able to choose the leader, according to his ideas and views on the development of the party.

Vigenin noted that the participation of the BSP in the government is an opportunity, but also a challenge. He warned that this step should be used in the best way, for the government to be honest and open to the people, and for the BSP to defend and implement its policy. “This should be a government that will not just put an end to the political crisis and a series of elections, but really give a new perspective“, set the goal for the BSP, Christian Vigenin. He believes that the party must achieve a qualitatively new state: “We need to develop the BSP in such a way that we will be stronger in the next elections. This depends on all of us, but above all on the future chairman and the leadership, which will structure the party and its work in such a way that we have a face, achievements. To create personnel who can support our policy and succeed both at the national and local levels in helping the development of Bulgaria.“

„The unification of the left is a cause for me and regardless of the problems that have arisen in recent days, the united left will exist, it will develop. The left will not be just a mechanical sum of the parties that make it up. I believe that it will gain more strength over time and so every voter who feels left-wing will be able to vote for our left-wing unification“, the deputy chairman of the BSP is convinced.

The meeting was attended by the chairman of the BSP regional organization in Yambol Mitko Andonov, the chairmen of the BSP Municipal Councils from the five municipalities: Rayno Georgiev - Yambol, Stoyanka Madzharova - Elhovo, Yordan Koychev - Straldzha, Atanas Dzhenkov - Bolyarovo, Zhivko Zhelev – Tundzha, MP Krasimir Yordanov, young people from the Yambol structure of the BSP, many members and sympathizers who filled the hall of the Youth Center in Yambol. They all expressed strong support for the candidacy of Kristian Vigenin for leader of the BSP from the position of 20 years of joint work and what he has done for the region.
