"What the Constitutional Court (CC) assigns to the CEC is based on the counting of the ballots from the SICs, which were determined by the court itself based on the complaints that were filed with a ruling of November 26 by which section commissions the ballot papers should be counted again.
In some of the sections, all ballots were counted - valid and invalid, which were reported. In another part of the sections, only those that were declared invalid were counted".
This was commented on in the studio of the morning block of "The Day Begins" on BNT, the deputy chairperson and spokesperson of the CEC, Rositsa Mateva.
"All results from this recount have been accepted by the Constitutional Court in the case and have been sent as protocols to the CEC, since these data from this recount, which differ from the data in the protocols of the SICs, in some places there is a difference of only one vote, must be entered into the CEC database with the results of the vote on October 27 of this year. Then, the methodology under the Electoral Code, by which the election results are determined, should be applied in order for the CEC to establish whether there is a difference in the total number of voters, the total number distributed by parties and coalitions "I do not support anyone" and this information should be provided to the Constitutional Court to make its decision on the case", she explained.
Rositsa Mateva once again confirmed that the CEC will not count ballots and will not check election papers and materials and specified:
"2204 protocols have been sent to us and we will send the information to the Constitutional Court and it will issue its decision. The CEC will not make a decision based on the results of this entry and the calculations. And since "Information Services" is designated as the counter of the results in the Electoral Code, there is no one else to make this entry and make the calculations that it will provide to the CEC. We have not yet submitted anything to "Information Services" from what was transmitted to us by the Constitutional Court."
Mateva also announced that computers will be delivered to the CEC today, and the teams that will work and enter these protocols twice have been determined, so as not to make a mistake. After that, they will be entered into the CEC database and by the end of next week the calculation will be completed and the results will be transmitted to the Constitutional Court.
