The MP from “Continue Change-Democratic Bulgaria“ and co-chair of “Yes, Bulgaria“ Ivaylo Mirchev stated that the coalition will submit a proposal that, when immunities are requested, they should go through a special committee in the National Assembly.
“At this stage, there is no will in the Bulgarian Parliament to create such a committee, but we will submit a proposal. Until there is a decision, we have a clear position – “for“ "removal of the requested immunities," he added.
According to him, whether there will be new elections in Bulgaria depends on Boyko Borisov and Delyan Peevski.
„The real reason that worries and unnerves Borisov and Peevski is the smuggling channel in Plovdiv, for which it will eventually turn out that there is a political umbrella from the leader of „DPS-New Beginning“, said Mirchev.
According to him, the ruling majority refuses to cooperate in discussing the details of the case from Plovdiv.
„At the top, there is a prosecutorial, police and political umbrella that connects Borisov and Peevski. Everyone is tied up, for example, Ivan Petleshkov is a protected witness for the leader of „DPS-New Beginning“, noted the co-chairman of „Yes, Bulgaria“.
