At the moment, no such proposal has been submitted, i.e. this is an intention. Next, the president has the right to make a proposal for this proposal for the National Assembly to discuss whether to have a national referendum. This is how the Speaker of the Parliament Natalia Kiselova commented to journalists in Nikolaevo on the intention of the head of state Rumen Radev to submit to the National Assembly a proposal to hold a national referendum on the introduction of the euro.
"When the proposal is submitted, I hope it will be well motivated, so that the president's arguments can be substantiated, since there are already two decisions of the Constitutional Court in relation to the authority of the National Assembly to schedule a national referendum on certain issues. Of course, one decision from last year specifically concerns an issue related to the euro. The way the issue was presented, without the reasons, is controversial. So let's see what the reasons are", explained Kiselova.
"After the proposal with reasons is submitted, since the issue concerns the competence of at least two committees - one is on budget and finance, the other is on constitutional and legal issues, within weeks I hope the committees will familiarize themselves with the reasons in detail.
Natalia Kiselova will congratulate today the participants in the second edition of the festival "At the foot of Asara" in Nikolaevo. Singers, dancers and craftsmen from Bulgaria, Greece, Turkey and Moldova will participate in the festival.
