The "Democratic Bulgaria" party proposes that on Monday the PP-Bulgarian Democratic Party (PP-Bulgarian Democratic Party) submit a draft resolution to the National Assembly, which would declare the firm determination for Bulgaria to join the eurozone from January 1, 2026, after a positive assessment by the EC and the ECB on June 4, 2025.
The Bulgarian National Assembly categorically opposes all attempts to replace one of the country's main foreign policy priorities. This was stated by the co-chairman of the Bulgarian National Assembly, Atanas Atanasov, on his Facebook profile.
