"Balkan Stream” will not be sold to an American hedge fund. But the entry of powerful investors into Bulgaria would be very good for the Bulgarian energy sector. It is not about selling, but about entering and increasing capacity. This was said by GERB leader Boyko Borisov on the sidelines of the National Assembly.
„What I have built for gas transmission - we receive 800-900 million per year. From what Radev has signed, 4.2 billion will come out”, he also said.
Borisov also commented on Vasil Terziev's decision to declare May 14 a non-school day due to the public transport strike. „In addition to being a difficult day for Sofia residents, it is also a non-school day. The mayor's practice is to announce at 5 p.m. that the next day is a non-working day and that the children do not know who will look after them and what they will do. It has been known for a long time that there will be a protest today”, he said.
“Two years ago I told Terziev how to make the last arc, because in the morning western Sofia cannot enter the city. He told me that I was a good chief architect. So I will not give him any more advice, and the people of Sofia will have to suffer the change and the rescuers. Apparently Bulgarians always learn their lessons the hard way”, said the GERB leader.
He commented on Rumen Radev's words that the new majority has trampled on the Constitution and has used the speaker of parliament as follows: “Kiselova is a professor of Constitutional Law. If she does not know what she is signing, it is unlikely that Rumen Radev knows what trampling on the Constitution is. I will not comment on Radev's assessments. The fact is that at the last moment he decided to blame Bulgaria and prevent us from entering the eurozone.”
Borisov also said that other years for entering the eurozone are being indicated in order to deceive the voters.
„Radev is angry that the government and parliament have managed and fulfilled the criteria. Now the only way to be stopped from joining the eurozone is to show internal instability”, the GERB leader also said.
He stressed that in order for the country to become part of the eurozone, more laws must be adopted.
Borisov also said that all representatives of the opposition, who want a European and legal state, have opposed Radev's proposal.
