Toshko Yordanov: Certain parties, in order to have something to exist for, choose some fear of the people and incite it

"The problem with the euro started from the fact that the PP-DB in an absolutely idiotic way started to wave the topic of the eurozone politically, instead of explaining it, as well as imposing it politically, which caused a backlash," commented the MP from ITN

Toshko Yordanov: Certain parties, in order to have something to exist for, choose some fear of the people and incite it - 1

They scared people for nonsense. The problem of Bulgarian politics is that certain political parties, in this case "Vazrazhdane", in order to have something to exist for, choose some fear of the people and incite or create it. This was told to BTA by the chairman of the parliamentary group of "There is such a people" (ITN) Toshko Yordanov in Kyustendil, on the occasion of today's protests in the country against the adoption of the euro.

The visit of the party's parliamentary group to Kyustendil is part of its national tour.

"The problem with the euro started from the fact that the PP-DB, in an absolutely idiotic way, started to wave the topic of the eurozone politically, instead of explaining it and imposing it politically, which caused a backlash", commented Yordanov. "The truth is that the caretaker governments and the one in power should have conducted an information campaign, which they did not. It is difficult to conduct one in the last two months", he added. Yordanov pointed out that this is currently being used by parties such as "Vazrazhdane", which the next time they will not have a reason to instill fear in people, "maybe they will protest against meteorites".

Toshko Yordanov pointed out that thanks to the fact that there is now a regular government, they have the opportunity to organize meetings with sympathizers throughout the country. "Ultimately, we are there not to pretend to be MPs and give interviews, but to get work done. Work is done when you know what the problems are, because a large part of them are related to changes in legislation, especially in the business sector, since for a country to be richer, its business must work and earn more money. From this point of view, these meetings are particularly useful. We are discussing with partners in the government and changing the legislation for the better," Yordanov also said.

He pointed out that specifically in Kyustendil, the efforts are for the development of balneology, because it is inexplicable that there are the necessary natural conditions such as mineral water and air, but there is no developed balneotourism.

"Since we have been in parliament, we have been arguing that large infrastructure projects should be carried out on a concession basis, because the state does not have the necessary money to invest, and when there is some money, it comes out in some strange forms in suitcases and there is no result. Our neighboring countries, precisely on the principle of public-private partnership, built all their large infrastructure projects in 4-5 years. We have convinced our partners in the government, Minister Karadjov is developing a list of such large projects, and if we manage to bring the process to the end, you will see how highways are built in a few years, with exceptional quality," added Yordanov.

Toshko Yordanov pointed out that one of these projects is the "Rila" highway. Regarding the recent comments from the Republic of North Macedonia (RNM) in connection with the construction of Corridor No. 8, Yordanov pointed out that the renovation and construction of a railway network is a project that requires a lot of money and cannot be started in a month. "The Ministry of Transport has taken it seriously, on the other hand, the RNM is overdoing it a lot, because their things are not in order, but for them this is state policy – to make someone else guilty", commented the MP.

Regarding the stability of the government, in connection with the processes taking place in the MRF, Toshko Yordanov commented: "To be honest, I don't care at all about the processes taking place in the MRF. We have an agreement for joint governance between three parties - ITN, BSP and GERB. If things are respected between us, this government will not be destroyed from within. And the opposition, whatever it may be, has the right, if they want to overthrow us, to try to overthrow us. I don't care at all about the processes in the MRF, because they are not in our party, but like you, I am watching with interest", also commented the chairman of the ITN parliamentary group.
