Rumen Radev has his own position on the topic of the euro. “Vazrazhdane” are overdoing it with the claim that he listened to them. There may not be a referendum on the euro, although it is not unconstitutional, but that does not mean that the president has not achieved that the effects of adopting the euro are talked about and the state is mobilized. This was said by political analyst Slavi Vassilev in “Offensive in Lyubo Ognyanov” on NOVA NEWS.
He pointed out that Radev's decision to request a referendum was to mobilize society, including the Council of Ministers, and so that the process of entering the euro could be least negative consequences, especially for the very poor segments of society.
Vasilev said that the Euro Law, which was promulgated by Rumen Radev, does not include the date of adoption of the single currency, but the procedures.
The analyst emphasized that he was surprised by the BSP's position on the eurozone.
Vasilev said that Bulgaria's integration into the European Union is already a fact, the question is how to make Bulgarians live better, to have the rule of law and to implement reforms in various sectors.
The contract with „Botaş”
Vasilev said that since the beginning of 2025, natural gas, measured in millions of megawatts, has entered Bulgaria through the Turkish gas transmission network hours.
„When it is said that the contract with „Botas ” is worth nothing, it is a lie”, he said.
Rumen Radev and the possibility of a new political project
Slavi Vassilev believes that the president is the only possible political alternative.
