In the last few days, Burgas has been the subject of a series of vandalism acts, consisting of theft of electrical wires, fuses and breaking manholes, BNT reported.
This has led to a power outage in large areas of the Central City and the Vazrazhdane residential area, as well as the expenditure of serious public resources to repair the damage caused by the vandalism.
“Emergency teams are inspecting the area to determine how many and which manholes have been broken and how many copper wires have been stolen. In most cases, the raids are on newly renovated streets. In recent days, almost every night, panels have been broken, cables have been cut and fuses stolen, the municipality announced.
Last week, in the residential area of "Vazrazhdane" it was found that all the shafts had been opened and the cables had been pulled out.
Once again, a room in the Sea Garden, where the lighting equipment for the Burgas bridge and part of the promenades is located, was broken into.
The Burgas Municipality has notified law enforcement and hopes that the perpetrators will be identified soon.
