Zafirov also commented on the protests for the preservation of the Bulgarian lev. According to him, they have not achieved their goal.
According to the leader of the Bulgarian Socialist Party, there is also a political basis in President Rumen Radev's move for the referendum.
„It is apparent that the president is showing disagreement with some of the actions taken by the political forces. The president's actions were not supported even by his closest advisors," said Atanas Zafirov.
