Once again, the grave of the late Bulgarian Patriarch Neophyte and that of the Bulgarian Exarch Joseph were desecrated. They are located in the outer narthex of the metropolitan cathedral church “St. Virgin Nedelya“, the Sofia Metropolis reported on its website, quoted by Nova TV.
The incident occurred on June 10 between 02:45 and 03:30. The portrait of Patriarch Neophyte and the flower vases were broken.
A person has been detained in the case, the Bulgarian National Radio reports.
We recall that in April last year, unknown persons desecrated the grave of Patriarch Neophyte. Then the cross was removed, and part of the marble surrounding the place of eternal rest was broken.
