The anesthesiologist accused of the death of a child in a dental office in Plovdiv continues to work. This was stated by Georgi Raichev - the father of the deceased boy, reports NOVA. We recall that the tragic incident occurred on April 4 after anesthesia was administered during a dental intervention.
„Before he was convicted, no one could remove him from work, but if he had a conscience, he could have quit himself. This man killed my son. Who will be responsible if another life is lost? He has not even contacted us to express his condolences, apologize, or explain. The clinic is not afraid for him to practice there. There is also silence from the RHI - Plovdiv. We have no information about the checks. It turned out that they put him dead in the ambulance so that they would not confirm the death," the man explained. According to him, the anesthesiologist also practices in other places.
The family also has another child for whom he is trying to find strength and move on.
„He killed our child, but we want to save someone else's. We went through a nightmare that I will never forget. We are holding on to raise his brother, who is four years old. He constantly asks about Angel. He says "Dad, who will wear his shoes for dad, who will I play with, how could they kill dad?". I don't wish it on anyone," the child's father said through tears.
According to him, the hospital lacked organization.
„In addition to the fact that the anesthesiologist was not there, there was no one to replace him. There were two nurses who were fighting for Angel's life, but they didn't know what they were doing. It will always be a pain for us that it came to this. We tried different dentists over the years. The truth is that most of them don't want to work with children. The child had a third tonsil, which had ruined his teeth, and that's why they directed us to a full anesthetic. No one told us that this was dangerous," he added.
A medical commission has been formed to examine the case and decide which actions were incorrect and led to the child's death.
