A border policeman has died after an incident at his workplace, the Petrich Emergency Center told BTA.
The incident was reported today around noon, and an employee was reported to have been shot at his workplace, Dr. Alexander Popov, head of the emergency center, told BTA.
The shot man was transported immediately. According to Dr. Popov, the man is about 49 years old.
When the emergency medics arrived, he was alive and died during transportation, probably due to a condition incompatible with life, the Emergency Center added.
A prosecutor and investigators are working on the case. An autopsy will also be performed, Dr. Popov explained.
