Marcela Abrasheva: Closing or not closing the CPC will not solve the problems with corruption - 1

The idea that after we entered the eurozone and all the problems were solved, the government is stable and will govern for a full term did not turn out to be true. The majority is stable, but we see how many conflicts there were with civil society - young doctors, businesses that were dissatisfied with the Euro Law, fires - criticism of the government came from everywhere and this will not disappear. I have not heard a single economist say a good word about the cabinet's measures, which provide for market regulation. We see that political tension continues and I expect a very turbulent political season from September.

This was stated on the show "Denyat na zivo" on NOVA NEWS sociologist Marcela Abrasheva, who commented on the past political season.

"The president's alleged project is something we have been discussing for a long time and it has not happened yet. It is too early to guess. I cannot conclude that the president will rely on those who left the PP and does not want Asen Vassilev. The president himself has not said a word that he will form a party. In this case, we are talking about an unborn Petko", she added.

"There are several hypotheses for the closure of the CPC. The fact is that another belated and last-minute change of members took place in the regulators. Closing or not closing the CPC will not solve the problems with corruption. The problem is in the entire judicial system and a restart is needed. I do not see how the fight against corruption will be renewed from the fall, if there has ever been one. Hardly anyone thinks that the CPC remaining in its current form is good for the fight against corruption. It remains to be seen how it will eventually be reformed, but it is clear to all of us that the fight against corruption in Bulgaria is at a very low level and absolutely all political entities bear responsibility for this," concluded Marcela Abrasheva.
