A serious accident in the capital tonight. A passenger car and a bus of the capital's public transport collided at the intersection of “Konstantin Velichkov“ and “Vazkresenie“ boulevards.
There is one deceased passenger from the bus. He is 65 years old. Two of the passengers in the passenger car are hospitalized.
The driver has been tested, the samples are negative.
The incident was reported at around 2:00 this night.
“The car was moving at high speed, it was probably a drift that led to the accident, the driver's alcohol and drug tests are negative. "The car probably flew over and that's why it ended up on top of the bus," said Krasimir Dimitrov, director of the Sofia Municipality's "Emergency Assistance and Prevention" department.
He specified that traffic in the area of the accident was calm.
