„Bulgarian Posts“ temporarily suspends acceptance of all shipments to the USA from today, the state-owned company announced. The reason is the planned changes by the country's administration related to customs handling of incoming shipments.

On August 21, they announced that there would be a significant delay in the delivery of shipments to the USA and added that the Universal Postal Union is developing a solution that will allow postal operators to declare and pay customs duties directly to the country's authorities.
On the same day, a number of postal operators in Europe also announced expected disruptions in the delivery of parcels to the USA due to the entry into force of Washington's new customs regulations.
The next day, the German postal company "Deutsche Post" (Deutsche Post) announced that they will significantly limit parcel shipments from Germany to the United States in response to Washington's tightening customs regulations, Agence France-Presse reported.
