11,054 motor vehicles were checked within the framework of the ordered specialized police operation to comply with the Road Traffic Act, it was reported by MIA.
13,601 drivers and passengers were checked. 2959 slips and 633 acts for established administrative violations were drawn up. The focus of the action is the prohibition of driving by drivers who have consumed alcohol, narcotic substances and/or their analogues, as well as driving of motor vehicles by unlicensed drivers.
A total of 38 drivers who got behind the wheel after drinking alcohol were identified within the past day – 16 of them were driving after consuming alcohol from 0.5 to 1.2 per thousand, and 22 - with more than 1.2 per 1000, two refused to be tested.
12 drivers were found to be driving under the influence of narcotic substances or their analogues, three refused testing.
