The woman A.O. and husband B.O. in complicity in the months of July and September 2010 engaged a woman with the aim of being used for lewd acts (prostitution) in Greece, and the act was carried out by misleading the person that she would work as a waitress in their establishment in Greece, writes in the decision.
Another woman was promised that she would work as a helper for the elderly in Greece.
The court sentences the woman to "imprisonment" for a period of 2 years, with an initial strict regime of serving, as well as a fine of BGN 3,000.
Furthermore, the penalty imposed on A.O. in case of 2009 "imprisonment” for a period of 6 months with an initial strict probation regime, for driving a motor vehicle after consuming alcohol.
Husband B.O. was sentenced to 2 years under the initial general regime of serving the sentence. He was not involved in the recruitment of one of the women, deluded that she would be looking after an elderly person.
The court condemns the defendants to jointly and severally pay the first injured woman the sum of BGN 7,500, representing compensation for non-pecuniary damages resulting from the crime, expressed in pain and suffering.
The defendants must pay the costs incurred in the case in the amount of BGN 4,209.80.
The sentence can be appealed and protested within 15 days.
