The causes of the death of 18-year-old Magdalena from Haskovo are known after the appointed forensic medical examination, this is clear from a press release from the prosecutor's office in Haskovo, quoted by bTV.
The examination shows that the girl was strangled on April 26th.
Evidence has been collected in the case that the perpetrator of the act is the accused 17-year-old Ivan.
„The forensic doctor has filed a conclusion that confirms the date of M.R.'s death, accepted by the prosecution, and which corresponds to the other evidence collected - explanations of the accused, witness statements, seized video camera recordings, etc. According to the forensic medical examination, M.R. died of mechanical asphyxiation /suffocation/“, the prosecutor's office says.
Currently, active investigative actions are being carried out in the case - interrogations of witnesses, numerous expert examinations have been ordered – psychological-psychiatric, forensic evidence, DNA, technical, etc.
The case is being conducted by a team of investigators from the District Investigation Department at the Haskovo District Prosecutor's Office.
A preventive measure of "detention in custody" has been taken against the accused by order of the District Court - Haskovo.
