The actor Valery Yordanov announced that he has left the troupe of the National Theater. He announced his departure on his Facebook account.
„...I just left and saved myself from the future of this richly perfumed stench. Political, spiritual and under-educated reality. ... I just left and got saved from the "Union of Christ..." sorry to the "Bulgarian artists", the actor wrote on the social network.
In his publication, he apparently commented on the award from the Ministry of Culture at the “Icarus 2024” ceremony, when the National Theater was declared an excellent performer with the highest results in theater management and creative activity:
„The "Manager of the Year" turned out to be very interesting - minus one million three hundred and fifty thousand - a precedent in the history of the theater...“, Valery Yordanov claims, also noting „+ deliberate discrimination and expulsion of the MOST- the sought-after directors and performances“.
The departure of the artist is not at all surprising, and for many it was only a matter of time, since Valery Yordanov stood firmly on the side of the disciplinary dismissed chief director Alexander Morfov in his conflict with the director of the People's – Vasil Vasilev. He also initiated the signature for his (Vassilev's) resignation, recalls in Sega.
Valery Yordanov is among the chosen ones of Alexander Morfov in the new version of the removed from the repertoire of the folk hit show “Life is wonderful“, which premiered on the stage of the “Theatro weeks ago to a packed hall from here the channel“ under the new title “Still, life is wonderful“. It features the main actors of the original production – Kamen Donev, Reni Vrangova, Svetlana Yancheva, Albena Koleva, Yordanov himself and others.
The program of the National Theater for the next month includes titles in which Valery Yordanov plays – “Golemanov“ (April 11 and 24) and “Flying experience“ (April 4 and 14). It is not known whether they will drop out of the program in the meantime, whether another actor will play the roles of Yordanov, or whether he will “play out” the performances.
„…+ everything else we will consider in passing in court. happy award. of the colleagues“, concludes Valery Yordanov's Facebook post, without specifying in this case what he will sue the theater for.
He accompanied his statement with a link to an article from the German newspaper Tagesspiegel, which the site Slaveykov Square published. on March 26 he quoted in detail. In it, Vasil Vasilev is described as a fighter against Russophilia and a theatrical innovator, responsible for the new European orientation of the National Theater and the introduction, almost for the first time, of modern themes into it.
