British guitarist, songwriter and co-founder of the rock band Bad Company Mick Ralphs has died at the age of 81, the band announced on its official website.
“He was a dear friend, a wonderful songwriter and an exceptional guitarist. We will miss him greatly“, said the band's drummer Simon Kirk.
Mick Ralphs and his friend Paul Rodgers founded the band Bad Company in 1971. They were later joined by bassist and vocalist Boz Burrell and drummer Simon Kirk.
The band began to gain popularity, their debut album, released in 1974, went five times platinum. During its existence, Bad Company managed to record 12 studio albums.
