American singer Leonardo “Flaco“ Jimenez, who worked with the Rolling Stones, died at the age of 86, The National World reported.
The publication reports that the musician died surrounded by his family on July 31. His death occurred several months after he was hospitalized.
Jimenez received the nickname “Flaco“ because of his frailty. During his career, he won six Grammy Awards, released over two dozen albums, and worked with Bob Dylan and the Rolling Stones.
He gained particular popularity thanks to his performance of Tejano music, which originated among the Mexican-American population of central and northern Texas.
