Italian pop singer Ornella Vanoni has died at the age of 91, Corriere della Sera reported
Vanoni came from a relatively wealthy family and was educated abroad. She graduated from the Academy of Dramatic Art in Milan and quickly entered the music scene. During her long career, she collaborated with many musicians, such as Fabrizio De André and Lucio Dalla, as well as with famous jazz artists.
Vanoni has participated in the Sanremo pop song festival eight times, the last of which was in 2018. She was also a guest star on the Ariston stage, where the festival is held, in 2020, 2021 and two years ago, the publication recalls.
