Former CSKA striker Jordi Caicedo will again play in Europe after signing with Spanish team Sporting (Gijon), Topsport reported.
The Ecuadorian footballer landed in the second division Spanish team on loan from the Mexican Atlas, where in 25 matches he managed to score 5 goals and provide 1 assist.
Caicedo took part in the Copa America tournament, where Ecuador was eliminated by eventual champions Argentina in the quarter-final stage, on penalty kicks.
The striker was part of the ranks of CSKA in the period 2021-2022, where he played 42 matches, in which he scored 23 goals for the team from Borisova gradina.
