Ludogorets lost 0:1 in their away game in Hungary to Dynamo (Minsk) in the second qualifying round of the Champions League, reported sportal.bg.
The goal at the stadium "Mezokiovezd Varos" Ivan Bahar scored towards the end of the first half, but it did not reach the Belarusians.
Despite the defeat, Georgi Dermendzhiev's team continues in the third preliminary round, where they will meet the champion of Azerbaijan - Karabakh. By qualifying ahead tonight, the team from Razgrad ensured a minimum participation in the group phase of the League of Conferences - thus, for the ninth year in a row, Ludogorets will play in groups of the European tournaments. Debut for the "eagles" against Dynamo was recorded by the German goalkeeper Hendrik Bonmann, who had many good interventions under his frame.
In the fourth minute, Rick Jonathan could have opened the scoring. The Brazilian right wing of the "green" advanced and shot from a small angle, but Dynamo goalkeeper Fyodor Lapukhov saved. A pass from a clear position by Ruan Seko followed soon after.
In response, the symbolic hosts reached a scrum in front of Hendrik Bonman's 11th-minute frame. Pavel Sedko shot dangerously, but the German goalkeeper of Ludogorets managed to clear, after which the ball deflected into the crossbar.
More boring minutes followed until the 37th. Then Trofim Melnichenko received a technical pass from the right, advanced and passed to his teammate Ivan Bahar in front of the goal of Ludogorets, who found the net behind Hendrik Bonman without much trouble - a goal for Dynamo (Minsk).
At the beginning of the second half, Ludogorets leveled the scores. This was helped by the inept intervention of the Belarusian goalkeeper Fyodor Lapukhov, who failed to properly stop a blow to his body, after which the ball stopped in the side post. More misses followed for the Eagles, who started strong after the break, thanks to Bernard Tekpetei and Jakub Piotrowski. In the 70th minute, however, Hendrik Bonman had to intervene decisively during a scrum in the penalty area of the Razgrad team and a subsequent volley shot by reserve Pedro Igor.
