Manchester United beat Betis 3:2 in an interesting friendly match played in San Diego, USA, reported sportal.bg.
The match was part of the pre-season training of both teams.
Iker Losada opened the scoring for the Spaniards in the 15th minute, but Eric Ten Haag's men responded like stung and by the end of the first half managed to score as many as three goals. Marcus Rashford equalized from the penalty spot just three minutes after Betis' goal. Amad Diallo led the “red devils” ahead in the 24th minute and Casemiro made it 3-1 from a corner seven minutes later. Diego Llorente scored the final 3:2 in the 61st minute.
Manchester United's next and final friendly on their American tour is on Saturday night against arch-rivals Liverpool in Columbia, South Carolina.
More important news and unpleasant news for Ten Haag, however, are related to the injuries that have befallen the team. According to the information of the English media, the most expensive summer addition to the team, Lenny Yoro, will be absent from the field for three whole months.
The Frenchman, who arrived for £52m from Lille, picked up his injury in the previous fixture with Arsenal, which they lost 1-2. Yoro's injury was expected to be serious after he was pictured walking around using crutches and a safety boot yesterday.
Rasmus Hoylund, who also suffered an injury against Arsenal, will be out of action for about six weeks. The Dane, who was the team's top scorer with 16 goals in all competitions, picked up a hamstring problem and will be sidelined until at least mid-September.
Manchester United's injury-related bad news didn't stop in the clash with Betis, with top scorer Marcus Rashford and Antony also forced off, with their conditions yet to be assessed.
