Spartak 1918 Varna won its second victory in the Bulgarian football championship. The Varna team, which returned to the elite, outplayed and won a decisive victory over CSKA-Sofia with 3:0, BTA reports. The first opportunity in the match was for the hosts in the 2nd minute. Ahmed Akhmedov received the ball, advanced, feinted a guest player and shot from about 20 meters, but the ball fell into the hands of the goalkeeper Ivan Dyulgerov.
In the 13th minute, Akhmed Akhmedov was brought behind the visitors' defense on the left in the penalty area and shot on the move, but the goalkeeper Ivan Dyulgerov knocked it out for a corner. After his performance, the ball reached Alexander Tsvetkov, who shot a header at the goal of CSKA-Sofia, and Ahmed Akhmedov from 4-5 meters with his heel deflected the ball into the goal for 1:0.
In the 27th minute, Ahmed Akhmedov was once again brought out behind the visitors' defense and shot, but luckily for the capital city, the ball hit the crossbar. Spartak 1918 Varna scored another goal in the 39th minute. Goalkeeper Martin Velichkov kicked the ball forward, which reached Romesh Ivey, who advanced, entered the penalty area and played a pass to Akhmed Akhmedov on the left, and the striker of the “falcons” scored the second goal for the hosts with a cannon shot – 2:0.
Before the start of the second half, the guest coach Tomislav Stipić made 4 changes. In the 56th minute, CSKA-Sofia made their first shot of the match. Thibaut Vion shot from a difficult position, but the ball fell into the hands of goalkeeper Martin Velichkov.
The hosts scored another goal in the 59th minute. The players of CSKA-Sofia made a mistake in passing the ball, Filip Lesniak stole it and shot from about 25 meters. The ball bounced off the side post, returned to the field and ricocheted into the back of the goalkeeper Ivan Dyulgerov and entered the goal for 3:0.
