Bulgarian Hristina Kozareva won the women's race in the 20th edition of the traditional athletics marathon in the German city of Ulm, BTA reports. Kozareva covered the classic distance of 42.195 km in 3:01:50.3 hours. The hosts' representatives Jasmine Klotz and Annette Fundner finished second and third with 3:04:49.1 and 3:13:28.9 respectively.
Hristina Kozareva has been treating an injury for a long time and had not participated in a marathon since 2021, when the graduate of Rumen Mehandzhiyski made very strong runs in Stara Zagora (2:46:33 hours) and in Varna (2:45:24 hours).
For the men in Ulm, the German Oliver Schope was the winner with 2:34:20.9 hours.
