Marcus Rashford has returned to Manchester United after Aston Villa decided not to make his transfer permanent, the Birmingham club reported, BTA reported.
The 27-year-old scored four goals in 17 games during his stay at "Villa Park", but the club decided not to activate the option to buy him for 40 million pounds.
Rashford will leave the club along with Marco Asensio and Axel Disassi, who also joined on loan in February and helped Villa reach the quarter-finals of the Champions League, as well as the semi-finals of the Football Association Cup.
Rashford lost his place in the Manchester team under manager Ruben Amorim, and now media in Spain claim that the former England international is close to a move to Barcelona.
Asensio has scored important goals in the league, also in European tournaments, but is now returning to Paris Saint-Germain.
Disassi has made 10 appearances for Aston Villa since his temporary move from Chelsea.
Goalkeeper Robin Olsen and Courtney Howse will also leave the Birmingham club when their contracts expire.
Marco Asensio, Marcus Rashford and Axel Disassi joined Aston Villa in February on loan until the end of last season.
