An automotive expert from Za Rulem magazine tells about several interesting methods that can be used to prevent snow from sticking to the inside of your fender liners.

“People are coming up with ways to deal with ice so that it doesn't accumulate in the "nests" between the tire and the fender. We're talking about the so-called fender lubrication. There are many options when it comes to ointment, but the method is one.

For example, WD-40 and analogues, used motor oil, water with glycerin, and even lard do an excellent job“, says the specialist. At the same time, if ice has already formed before, you can clean the fenders at a regular self-service car wash.

A warm parking lot is also suitable - the stuck snow will fall off by itself. But then you need to wash the fenders well at a car wash and lubricate them with oil. What you should not do when melting ice is to use an industrial hair dryer.

Using it to remove the accumulated ice will work relatively quickly, it will melt the snow, but it can melt plastic parts. So do not resort to this method. Use a self-service car wash, dry with a rag and lubricate the fenders with used oil. This is the best option.
