It can be categorically said that Russia's war with Ukraine is entering a new competition, a another escalation. With a few main points: We have seen that these preliminary soundings of the French president already have some real dimension. We also have the statements of some NATO countries and the continued statements of Macron that in fact two red lines have been drawn in front of Russia, which, if crossed, we can expect the entry of NATO units.
This is what international analyst Dimitar Gardev commented in the FACTS studio in front of Lili Marinkova.

There are several nuances here. What exactly is the French Foreign Legion? It is not part of the French army. The same thing that represented the "Wagner" we see them in Africa. But this does not mean that the Russian Federation is fighting there directly, according to the rules established by the international order. The same applies to the foreign legion, which by its legal status has no right to operate on the territory of France. This happens only once - during the Second World War.
When we talk about units, divisions of the French Foreign Legion in Ukraine, it does not mean that the French government has responsibility for them. They are also treated in another way. That's why I say nuances are important.
However, when we talk about the entry of parts of the French armed forces, we are talking about elements of their 8th division, then it is different. And that is why these red lines were drawn. We should not mix volunteers and the like and, on the other hand, legal entry of troops of a certain country. I want to draw attention to these red lines because they are important. These red lines have been confirmed by other factors in NATO and in the US. One of them is a breakdown of Ukraine's defenses and a serious breakthrough of Russian troops there. The second is provocations on countries that are members of NATO - these are the Baltic republics, Poland and Romania. What can be meant by such a formulation? To me, that means, in fact, that maybe that's where the surrendered F-16s are slated to be deployed. Currently, Ukraine's infrastructure does not allow them to be based there. The entire territory of the country is under the impact of Russian missiles.
