Ivo Injov before FACTS: We need to see what the problem is with gambling advertising in the media (VIDEO) - 1

There needs to be a debate to see what the problem is with gambling advertising in the media. GERB and DPS did something that only a month before they rejected when “Vazrazhdane“ introduced a similar bill. Thus the feeling was created that there was something, that something was being done with some intention. And one of the most popular explanations is that this will bring down the market price of national televisions. And is there a procedure for the sale of leading television… There is also speculation that this way the price will drop and it will be easier to be bought by Bulgarian oligarchs. GERB and DPS did it at the last moment, in “12 to five”, as they say. And it raises far more questions than it answers. This is what he announced to Lili Marinkova in the "FACTS" studio. and the show “Conversation“ the political scientist Ivo Indjov.

“Otherwise, the question arises whether there should be gambling advertising in the media or not. In Italy there is none, if we exclude the meat “toto“, but in Germany there is. There is a different reading of the situation. It's a shame if major TV stations are dependent on gambling advertising revenue. It still has a ban on advertising, but it is formulated in such a way in the Law that there is a big loophole. I hope there is no common sense in banning gambling ads in the middle of the year. Now GERB and DPS are in explanatory mode. The very fact that there were protests by various associations showed those complaining that they would lose revenue. But if so, they are not largely dependent on GERB and DPS. We just need a debate to what extent gambling money should finance the media. Let there be regulations, let there be so many more rules to follow. Because we see now what it is. You turn on the TV, you go on the Internet and you find an advertisement. Let there be more regulations”, the analyst added.
