US First Lady Melania Trump has decided not to hold a bilateral meeting with Volodymyr Zelensky's wife, Olena, in New York during the 80th session of the UN General Assembly, despite the Ukrainian woman's insistence.
This was reported by the New York Post, citing Melania's senior adviser, Mark Beckman.
„Ms. Zelenska has asked Melania several times for a meeting, but there will be no bilateral meeting. Nothing official will happen“, Beckman said. „Since our first lady is very polite, she will say hello. But there will be no full-fledged conversation, no meeting is planned.“
The general policy debate (High-level Week) of the 80th anniversary session of the United Nations General Assembly began in New York with the participation of approximately 150 heads of state and government, as well as foreign ministers.
