In Britain, active-duty officers of the London police have called for shooting immigrants, enjoyed the use of force and denied allegations of rape in footage filmed by an undercover reporter for the BBC's Panorama program, BNR reported.
Evidence of misogyny and racism shows a failure in the Metropolitan Police's promise to tackle what it calls "toxic behavior" after the murder of Sarah Everard by an active-duty officer.
The secret footage of the Panorama show officers making sexual comments about colleagues and sharing racist views about immigrants and Muslims.
After the BBC sent a detailed list of allegations to the Metropolitan Police, it suspended eight officers and one member of staff.
Two other officers have also been removed from their frontline duties.
Commissioner Sir Mark Rowley said the behaviour described by Panorama was "disgraceful, completely unacceptable and contrary to the values and standards" of the police force.
Undercover BBC reporter Rory Beebe spent seven months until January this year as a designated detention officer at Charing Cross police station in central London. This is a civilian role that involves working closely with sergeants and regular police officers, but not participating in arrests.
The reporter mentions the names of several police officers in the footage, including some with long service of nearly 20 years.
