At least 20 people were injured after two trains collided in eastern Slovakia, about 55 km west of the regional capital Kosice, Reuters reported, quoted by BTA.
According to initial information, the locomotive and one carriage derailed. Ambulances and a medical helicopter were sent to the scene of the incident, and the injured were taken to hospital for treatment.
No deaths have been reported yet, with about 80 people traveling in total on both trains.
According to Slovak Railways, the collision occurred at a section where the tracks cross and then merge into one line. The causes of the accident remain under investigation.
